Nature beauty is one of the most attractive features in Taiwan. You can see different beauty at different seasons. Although you can find some information about the place and time about the nature season, however, the information may not be useful to your itinerary. You need to adjust your itinerary a lot in order to catch the seasonal beauty. In fact, you can smooth your itinerary if you have a nature beauty calendar.

KingBus provides daily day-tour bus from Taipei, Yilan and Luodong in blossom season. The tickets are sold at Kiosk in convenient stores, including 7-11 & Family. Although it may be difficulty to buy for holiday, you can also try to buy tickets in spot. In additional to buying at kiosk, I have bought twice on spot, once in Taipei Station and once in Yilan Station.
Here is the information provide by Kingbus in 2020. The information is updated in early January. The cherry blossom bus runs between 8th Feb(2020)~29 Feb(2020). Tickets is sold between 12 am 15th Jan and 7am 29th Feb. Departure stations include: Taipei Main Station(NTD 730. Not in Taipei Bus Station) , Taipei City Hall Station(NTD 730), Yilan Station(NTD610), Luodong Station(NTD 630), Sanxing Station(NTD 520).
You should take the same bus(same plate number) back. The staying hour is fixed. Therefore, you can not take the early bus from depature station and come back with late bus from Wuling Farm
Before reading the following information, please be noted that flower seasons are not fixed. It is affected by temperature,altitude, rain, human activity, and etc. The flower season in the last year may not be the same in this year. Therefore, I attach information links for the flower seasons. These links are provided by tourism bureau, farm hosts, photographers, bloggers who can give you the latest status. You can find the estimated dates, flower status, transportation information and etc in links. Since the blossom seasons may change, you should keep an eye on these links, especial a few days before the estimated blossom seasons. In my experience, Tianyuan Temple cherry blossom had late for one month a few year ago because of a cold spring. If you followed the information in previous year, you would the cherry blossom when you visited Tianyuan Temple.

The following table summarizes most public cherry blossom attractions, according to the forum topics in TtripAdvisor, qyer, backpacker. In fact, there are tens of cherry blossom in Taiwan. The names in the list are most common to foreign visitors and you can easily put in your itinerary with other attraction, except Wuling Farm. Before reading the table, some tips should be noted.
- The cherry season is short
The blossom period for one place is around 2 weeks. The information you got last week may not be useful for this week. Rain and temperature will change the blossom status. You should keep an eye on the link in the following table.
- Itinerary
That's one of the most popular problem I have found in travelling forums. They asked how to go to a cherry blossom but the blossom season did not match their itinerary. As mentioned, cherry blossom season is not fixed all around Taiwan. The prediction or blossom period in previous years may not be correct when you arrive Taiwan. Since there are tens of cherry blossom between January to April, you can arrange your itinerary first and have some candidate cherry blossom in your watching list.

There are lots cherry blossom in Taipei. Since almost all foreign visitors will stay in Taipei, you can watch cherry blossom in Taipei well. It won't take much time. You can access these places by public transportation easily. Taipei City Government provides most updated cherry blossom status from the website , from the website http://flowers.taipei/Sakura/ .(The link is closed after cherry blossom season.) You can read all cherry blossom information in Taipei at the season. You can also find other blossom information as well., including Calla Lilly in Yangminghan.
The website provides the latest of the cherry status. Each table provides cherry blossom status for different location and cherry species. Since the information is ordered by cherry species, there may be more than one columns in one place. You need to add all species of cherry columns for one location.The number column shows the quantity of cherry trees.According to my experience, it is worth to visit if there are more than 50 cherry trees. Since the information is ordered by cherry species, there may be more than one columns in one place. You need to add all species of cherry columns for one location. The Forecast column is useful when you plan your itinerary. It forecast the blossom period. The blossom period lasts around one month. However, the best time is between 1/3-2/3 of the period. The cherry tree has not blossom enough if you visit too early. New leave buds is growing if you arrive too late. You should keep watching Blossom Status% column when you arrive Taiwan. Cherry blossom is the best for photo when Blossom Status% is around 80%.

One thing may confuse foreign visitors is the location of Kingbus at Taipei Main Station. From the google street view below, you can see Kingbus Station(left lower), Taipei Main Station(left uppper) and Taipei Bus Station (Right corner). Since the underground in Taipei Main Station is complex, please arrive Kingbus Station earlier or choose Taipei Citi Hall Station.
